March 2006 Sebring Corvette

The Corvette Corral
has one of the best track side locations next to the outside of Turn 17.
There was even a set of bleachers for these privileged spectators. Each
day it became more crowded. Saturday it was filled. |
Most of models were
C5's however there were a few other vintages. |
This 1959 model had
an after market AC system installed but most was hidden under the dash. |
Under the hood you
could see the AC compressor and alternator. From the outside it appeared
stock, |
If only I had one
of these toys. There was another Navy blue Grand Sport replica that was
in the vintage race. |
I always liked these
Grand Sport hood grills. Look Ma, no wiper blades to deal with. |
Another old girl still
running strong. Looked like a 1970 with an L-88 type hood. |
Across the street
from the Corvette Corral was the GM Chevrolet corporate display
or the 2006 Motorama. This and more was packed into three Black American
Revolution semi tractor trailers. |
A new Red C6 convertible
at the Chebby display. |
